The world-famous Cinderella fairy tale has inspired many prominent artists to adapt it for film, theatre, television or ballet. However, our company WORLD ON ICE is the first in the world to present it as a musical on ice, CINDERELLA! A musical on ice is a specific staging form, the world originality of which lies in the idea of combining singers, actors, dancers and figure skaters in one project, a theatre performance on ice, and acting out a musical story simultaneously on stage and on the ice. The essence is the division of roles into two groups – stage and skating. While stage roles are characters played by actors and speak, sing and move only on a stage built on ice in the performance, skating roles, played by figure skaters, are spoken and sung and in dialogues with actors or in their solo performances they express themselves only through movement and dance. The author of this staged form of musicals on ice is screenwriter and director Jindřich Šimek, who has already created three original works in this genre, namely the fairy tale musical on ice Mrazík (1998), the romantic musical on ice Romeo and Juliet (2003) and the magical musical on ice Cinderella (2011). The musical on ice Cinderella has no equal in the world of family entertainment, it will offer more than 120 minutes of an engaging fairy tale story and, together with the artistic performances of actors and singers and the fantastic sporting performances of figure skaters, it undoubtedly ranks in the category of TOP projects in the field of world show business.
